New Product Launch: Healthcare
AquaChem (www.aquachem.ie) are a leading provider of water treatment services to the industrial, hospital and healthcare markets in Ireland. Industrial Marketing Solutions worked with AquaChem over a 6 month period in the launch of a new product for the prevention of legionnella.
Our work involved initial research of the market following by the development of a marketing plan to target different segments of the industry. We subsequently implemented a promotional plan which involved the design of sales collatoral, the launch of the service at a key industry tradeshow and the placement of press releases in newspapers and industry magazines.
Industrial Marketing Solutions are currently working with AquaChem on the launch of a new range of products and services targeting the food an drinks industry.

European PR Programme: Electronics
B+B Electronics (www.bb-europe.com) sell a broad range of serial and data communications products to industrial markets throughout Europe. Industrial Marketing Solutions were involved in the planning and execution of a 6 month technical PR programme in trade magazines across Europe.
Industrial Marketing Solutions were successful in achieving free coverage for B&B Electronics in over 25 industry publications. This press coverage resulted in a flow of new leads into the business and following completion of our project, B&B continued to execute the PR programme internally as part of their marketing efforts.
IMS continue to work with B&B Electronics and most recently were involved in the planning and promotion of a seminar on wireless networking technologies.

Marketing Plan: German Market - Engineering
BS&B Safety Systems (www.bsb.ie) manufacture over pressure relief devices (rupture discs) for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries worldwide. When the company opened a sales office in Germany, they asked Industrial Marketing Solutions to develop and execute a 12 month marketing plan for the promotion of its products.
Industrial Marketing Solutions were chosen for this project due to our experience in technical markets and our in-house German language capabilities. Our work involved regular trips to the German sales office where the marketing plan was developed in conjuction with the local sales and management team.
The eventual plan involved an integrated set of activies including online promotion, technical PR, sales seminars and product management. Upon completion of the initial plan, BS&B were satisfied and elements of the plan were continued for a further 12 months.

Rebranding and Marketing Plan - Medical Devices
Caragh Precision (www.caraghprecision.com) specialise in the design and manufacture of precision metal components for the Medical Devices OEMs across Europe. Industrial Marketing Solutions worked with Caragh Precision over a 9 month period on the refinement of their marketing strategy, the rebranding of their business and development of a promotional plan.
Our work with Caragh Precision brought a clearer focus to the sales and marketing efforts of the company and confidence to invest time and development effort in 2-3 key markets where the company had distinctive competencies.
Industrial Marketing Solutions continue to work with Caragh Precision and are currently assisting the company in researching new market opportunities for their capabilities in the US and German markets.

European Channel Development - Industrial Lighting
Energizer (www.energizer.eu), the leading global brand in batteries, asked Industrial Marketing Solutions to assist them in the recruitment of specialist distributors for their industrial lighting product range. The project involved 5 countries: Sweden, Norway, Germany, Italy and Spain.
As this was a new market for Energizer, the starting point for the project involved research into channels of distribution for similar products in Europe. As the 5 countries chosen are completely different, each market needed to be looked at individually before any channel development could commence. It was only once this initial analysis was complete that we could be sure of the most appropriate route to market for this new product line in each local country.
The second stage of the project involved the identification of local partners who matched the desired partner profile and most importantly had access to the local target markets. Once identified IMS made direct contact with each of the local companies on behalf of Energizer to qualify the suitability and interest as a potential partner.
This project was complex as we had to report to the European Head Office of Energizer in Paris and in parallel co-ordinate appointments for local sales people in each of the 5 countries to visit with the prospective distributors.
In total IMS arranged an average of 6 appointments for Energizer in each market and in all cases these meetings resulted in at least one successful recruitment.

Promotion and Lead Generation - General Industry
Lean Business Systems (www.leanbusiness.ie) are a leading provider of lean training and project implementation to the medical, food, IT and manufacturing sectors in Ireland. IMS provided outsourced marketing services to LBS for an 18 month period, implementing targeted promotions and lead generation programmes.
IMS worked in a seamless way as the "Marketing Manager" for Lean Business Systems and were required on a monthly basis to report on key metrics including leads generated, website traffic, press coverage achieved, etc
Along with monthly lead generation activities, IMS were responsible for setting up an in-house CRM system which facilitated the real time tracking of sales opportunities in the business.

Rebranding and Launch - Medical Devices
Contech Ireland had over 20 years experience as a highly respected contract partner to medical device companies both in Ireland and internationally. Following a number of years investment in R&D and Engineering the company felt it was time to rebrand its business and communicate a broader range of services to the international medical device market.
IMS worked with the Senior Management Team at Contech Ireland over a 5 month on a company rebranding strategy. The starting point for this project was customer research which provided valuable insights into existing brand values and once this was combined with the development of a new vision for the business, branding objectives were agreed.
The new name, Advant Medical was selected following an extensive search process which considered many factors including international meaning, domain name availability and trademark protectability. The new logo of Advant Medical with its water ripple icon was designed to communicate "new waves" of innovation and services offered by Advant to its customer base.
Over the following 8 weeks, IMS were responsible for the development of a new website (www.advantmedical.com), company literature and the co-ordination of the company launch at Medtec Stuttgart (March 2011).
A key aspect of the rebranding was a customer communications strategy to ensure that all contacts were aware of the change and the reasons for the rebranding. The culmination of this customer communication plan was an event held in Galway in May 2011 where over 80 customers were invited to attend a launch event.
IMS are currenly assisting Advant Medical in the execution of their marketing activities for the remainder of 2011.

European Channel Development - Electronics
Measurement Specialties (www.meas-spec.com) design and manufacture a broad range of sensor technologies globally. Working with the European head office, IMS have worked with Measurement Specialties to research and develop new channel partners in Italy, Germany, France and the UK.
In each market, the company had different objectives regarding the type of partner they were looking for and the role they were to perform. We were successful in all cases in matching new partners to the needs of Measurement Specialties.
Aside from new partner requirement, we have also provided marketing support to Measurement Specialties for their international markets including brochure design services, production of foreign language product datasheets and customer newsletters

New Product Introduction - Industrial
Delta Filtration (www.deltafiltration.com) is a successful manufacturer of air filters with exports to over 15 countries worldwide. The main markets for the company are the HVAC, Food & Beverage and Industrial sectors.
When the company identified an opportunity for a new range of air filters for the medical and pharaceutical markets they approached IMS to develop a plan to bring this new product line to market.
The new HepaFilter product line was specifically designed for cleanroom enviroments. As the target market was very different to the company's core business, a new micosite (www.hepafilters.ie) was developed as a basis to summarise the product offering and make the message appropriate for this target market. In addition, an advertising and PR plan was developed to raise awareness of the new products.
The final step in the project involved the identification of target customers for Delta Filtration in the Irish Market. IMS initially prepared a list of 25 target companies and we subsequently made contact with all of these companies to (a) identify the decision maker and (b) determine if there was a need for hepafilters at their site.
This was a successful project and resulted in the creation of several sales appointments for Delta Filtration.
